I have had many cake smashes this year and we are only a few months into the year. With the pandemic restrictions being lifted, many parents are looking to capture this special milestone. Several of those families have not had any professional pictures of their baby taken during the first year due to Covid restrictions. What better way to cap off your baby’s first year with a cake smash!

This beautiful little lady! I was lucky enough to capture Grayson’s newborn photos a year earlier and was excited when her mom reached out to me to capture her first birthday photos.
Grayson had grown so much over the last year and was an absolute beauty with big gorgeous blue eyes. She was very serious and only cracked a few half smiles as her session started.
Grayson had not tasted cake before and it took her a bit to get comfortable with the texture and taste of the cake, although once she realized she can eat it and it tasted yummy - she was a fan.
Splish Splash - Bath Time!
The cake smash was short lived before she had enough, so it was time to bring out the tub for a little splash. This tub has been such a big hit for the little ones. Grayson was also a big fan at the tub, although she would not give me smiles. She was a tough nut to crack!
She did love to splash and splashed a lot of the water right out of the tub! It was fun to watch and capture her having a blast.
