I introduced paint smash sessions this year and I must say, they are one of my favorite ways to capture a milestone first birthday. Paint smash sessions are always adorable and I love the amazing images that are captured during these sessions.

Grayson’s mom reached out to me about doing a fun photoshoot for his first birthday. She decided that she did not want to do a cake due to some allergies really liked the idea of a paint smash to capture this special milestone.
It took a bit for Grayson to warm up. I always make sure to give the baby time to adjust to being in a new location. Sometimes it takes a little extra coaxing but eventually they get comfortable.
This little guy was so serious! He did not give me a ton of smiles on this day, except I did manage to capture a few when he did. He did have fun making a mess with the paints.
Splash splash it’s time for a bath!
The bath portion of my first birthday sessions are always a big hit. I offer a splash for every first birthday milestone session.
I even got a smile or two from Grayson during the tub splash.
Such a serious little guy but oh so adorable!
